Stanley Thompson, grew up and schooled in South and
East Africa, living in Kampala Uganda and boarding
school in Nairobi until
1957 when he attended college in Harrogate Yorkshire.
He met and married an australian in 1969, they both
came to live in Sydney Australia.
In 1976 he finally succumbed to the mother in law's
persistence with the Australian stock exchange and
trading in both shares and commodities, he confesses
that his mother in law, weeled the most influence on
his education and learning of investment and trading.
He trades the market every single day.
The book has taken on a "straight to the point" feel.
It also conveys the message that no one has broken
down candlestick charting as he has done...each day of
candle construction is a better way of feeling any
sentiment that the market may give out, no hype about
phychology of traders etc, since that just can not be
justified, as it is explained in the book.
About the Book
The Book was first a draft, used for quick reference
to certain candlestick patterns, single day candles
being very common determining factors in charting for
entry and exit points. There are many books and
references to Candlestick charting, all of them
dealing with candlestick charting in what is truly an
unrealistic method of determination. It was soon
realised that if one followed the conventional methods
of charting, using the old methology then the whole
point of determination became as chaotic as the market
its self. This then applies that analysis and markets
were both established chaos, unfortunately this was
true in the past.
This book hopfully dispells the chaos in analysis by
breaking down the trading day and reconstructing the
candle to show sentiment, flow and above all some form
of order. This has never been done before.
The book is a simple,
easy, well explained, well illustrated
brief
yet a thorough coverage of using candlesticks as an
analysis of charting preference. more importantly it
progressed from a draft reference to a finished usable
and reliable reference book.
